What is Mosqer?
Mosqer is a mosquito electronic trap that incorporates a mosquito attractant to attract and kill mosquitoes. The product was developed after studying how and why humans attract mosquitoes. Hence, the product mimics humans to attract the female mosquitoes and kill them. The mosquito trap and mosquito attractant has a patent under the Federal Republic of Nigeria.
How it works
When the mosquito trap is on and placed in a mosquito-infested area, the attractant which contains some volatile substances attracts the mosquitoes close to the trap inlet. Then the vortex effect of the fan pulls the mosquito into the collector, where the mosquitoes die after 24 hours due to dehydration. It can be used indoors and outdoors.
Environmental impact
Mosqer is safe for human use, it is non-toxic and has no negative effect on the environment. The composition of the mosquito attractant is odorless and it has no respiratory irritation effect on humans, hence it can be used in hospitals. It has been confirmed safe by the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency when used under the specified prescription.
